Vasser was founded in 2020 by Stig Taftø and Eddie Dale.

Vasser works with technology and design, focusing on usability and reducing complexity. We are good at finding solutions that simplify, making everyday life better for users and editors alike.

We have long experience in the industry and can point to a wide range of projects, both from our earlier careers and here at Vasser. We specialise in website development and design for digital surfaces.

The story behind the name Vasser

The word Vasser is an old Norwegian term for «kvass» – keen or sharp – and originates from the islets and skerries in the sea off the village of Hvasser. The place Hvasser was in fact once called Vasser, without the H.

To us, though, the word means more than keen and sharp. We also associate it with one of Earth's basic elements: water. The name Vasser is related to the German word «Wasser», which means exactly that. Water is adaptable. Water is also a striking contrast to sharp and keen.
