We are not locked into any particular system, yet we have recommendations that tend to repeat themselves, despite continuously exploring the alternatives.
For pure content websites (not online stores), we will often recommend Craft CMS. We have very good experience with client satisfaction in this system, and the makers behind it have values and plans for the future that we believe benefit most growing, serious companies.
Sometimes a client wants a specific CMS from the very start because it is what they are used to. Clients may come from WordPress, and initially have no interest in other systems. We have worked extensively with both, and today we see extremely few cases where WordPress is the better solution for content sites.
The few cases where WordPress shines are at the very lowest price point, where the client simply wants an off-the-shelf theme and free WordPress on cheap shared hosting. In those cases, Vasser is not necessarily the right partner to contact.
We work with clients who see the value of investing in solid craftsmanship for their website, and who understand that good results do not come from cheap and simple off-the-shelf products.
What do we mean by web solutions?
Web solutions is a broad term. We still prefer this umbrella term over web applications, or simply applications, because we feel it best reflects what the product is and does. Web solutions are built specifically for the browser, to solve problems and challenges a client has – either internally or towards their own customers.
Examples of web solutions include intranets, integrations with other systems in use, specialised customer clubs, size calculators, interest calculators, dashboards gathering key business data from several sources, interactive annual reports and more.
